Planning a trip to the lake

Well it's holiday time! My husband and I decided we needed a break, so we are planning a trip back to the lake in a few weeks time.

New Zealand is surronded by water, but it also has some incredible rivers and lakes, and this is one of my favourites - that I have been to so far! It is a trout fishing fresh water lake and oh I love trout. Trout isn't able to be bought here, just caught to preserve the fish levels.

Lake Rerewhakaaitu is half an hour south east of Rotorua which is about 3 hours south east of Auckland (home). So it's a comfortable trip. We will take the camper and the boat. My parents are coming over and will hire a camper too, and we will meet up with my inlaws so the kids will have grandparent explosion and hopefully my husband and I can have some time to ourselves out on the water.

It is so nice just to camp right on the edge of a lake for a few days and just sit. There is no cell phone reception, internet, power, you name it, so it is just so so peaceful. I can hardly wait.
