Handmade Wooden Rocking Horse

My father in law is talented in many things, one of the coolest is his talent with wood. In an earlier post I showed you the playhouse that he built.
When he found out we were expecting, he wanted to make a rocking horse he was just so excited. My husband is the youngest of 3 and we were the first to have kids, so it was a big big deal for them. So off we went onto google and ordered the plans.

Needles to say 'Clyde' arrived before my daughter. He is just absolutely beautiful. My mother in law did a great job finishing him off with straps, eyelashes and hair.

This kids love him and my daughter is only now just tall enough to get onto it without help, and it will give them joys for years!

  1. Wow that is absolutely amazing! Could you possibly point out where you got the plans for this beautiful rocking horse? My wife and I have searched extensively but cannot seem to locate the plans for "this" rocking horse. If you cannot remember the link maybe you remember the name of the company that offered the plans? Any help would be appreciated!

  2. Hi Curt, Sorry - I was away for the holidays and it took a while to find it. It is actually a plan for a double rocking horse, which probably made it harder. I think it's in a few places, but this will hopefully get you started: http://www.thewinfieldcollection.com/product/Clyde_and_Dale_Rocking_Horse_Plans/Rockers - thanks Kat
