Last week was my first dismal attempt at getting back into Yoga post babies and wheelchairs. It is disappointing to say I didn't do over half of the poses in the lesson but I had a great excuse...every time I tipped my head forward blood you come out my nose from surgery. At least that is over now.
Last night was lesson number two. I did everything apart from stopping the occasional time to fix my nose (nothing like last week) and the pose where you put your whole body on your hands.
What is with that froggy looking arm stand yoga pose anyway? Why couldn't I just do a handstand like I did when I was a kid to put my whole body on my hands.
Yes yes I know....not the point of yoga!
Well I am pleasantly mildly sore today from it, and it feels good. I had forgotten how good it was to do something other than walking which was all my body could handle till now. It was also good that my pelvis held up. It felt quite weak but a little bit at a time.
My favourite bit about yoga is that just when you think you have it licked, they can just make you move a tiny bit and it becomes so much harder - there is always something else.
Do you do Yoga? Is it as fun for you as it is for me?
